It was quite a boring day today. At our English lesson, we read other students story and commented it so that the story could be improved. I read Chrystal's and Diviyaa's story and thought that it was very interesting. We also had our CD lesson today. We learned about disipline and integrity and also played a game about it. The game was really fun and I wish that I could play it again someday.  Today,  learned a new word, endorse. It means suporting someone. Thats all for today. Bye!

By the way, here's my story:

She coughed.”Mum, are you alright?” I asked worriedly. “Do you need some cough medicine? I’ll get some from Mr Muthu’s pharmacy.” “Thanks, Benjamin. You’re a good son. Where is your brother?” My mother coughed again while asking me in a hoarse voice. I shrugged, and then went down the staircase and headed to Mr Muthu Pharmacy. It was midnight and all was quiet. I sighed as I walked briskly to Mr Muthu’s Pharmacy, thinking about the money my mother needed for a treatment as she was seriously ill.

As I neared the pharmacy, I heard a gruff voice which was a little muffled. It sounded like “…handover… money… life…” Being a curious boy by nature, I could not resist going to eavesdrop. Making sure my shadow did not give me away, I leaned my ear against the wall so that I could hear what whoever inside was saying.

This time, I heard a different voice, “Did you hear him? Give us your money or lose your life!” I jumped at the sound of it. The sound was so familiar, even though it was a little muffled. Carefully, I peered around the wall. I immediately clamped my hand over my mouth to conceal the gasp that came out of it. The person who I heard was actually my brother. Yes. My own brother, the goody two shoes. I shook my head, refusing to believe my eyes. The person who was holding a just sharpened knife had to be some kind of a freaky clone a mad scientist had created, the kind that only existed in movies. But however hard I tried, I could not deny the fact that this was my brother.

I glanced at the person standing beside my brother. He was not the type of people my brother hung out with. The type who wore geek’s glasses and always had a book nearby. This person was heavily tattooed, with a lot of tattoos featuring a monster biting someone’s head off. I shuddered.

Both of them were pointing their knives at Mr Muthu, demanding his cashbox. Mr Muthu was clutching his cashbox tightly, refusing to let go. “You’ll have to go through me first if you want my cashbox!” he said, trying to be brave although he was paler than a sheet and trembling like a leaf.”Ha! No problem!” The tattooed guy said, raising his knife.

Suddenly, I heard a “bang”. A sharp pain pierced my arm and I felt something wet trickle down my hand. The scent of fresh blood filled my nostrils. Then I realized that a guy about nineteen was pointing a gun at me. I ran for my life, trying to ignore the agony I was in. I blinked the tears out of my eyes as I reached the nearest void deck. I ran behind one of the walls and pressed myself against it, wincing when the wall touched my wound. I heard footsteps getting closer and closer. Suddenly, it stopped. I heard the teenager curse under his breath, then the footsteps started to fade, then vanished completely. I waited for a few more seconds to make sure that the coast was clear, then I came out from behind the wall. Just by chance, I glanced at the wall. It was smeared with red liquid. I was a little disturbed by the amount of blood I was losing, but I knew I had no time to lose. I stuffed my numb hand inside my pocket the other on my wound, trying to stop the bleeding, and fumbled around until I found my handphone. I took it out and dialed ‘999’. A man’s voice answered me. “Hello, may I help you?” I opened my mouth and forced out the barely audible words, “Robbery. Mr Muthu’s Pharmacy. Changi…”

I could not stand the fear that was inside me anymore. My voice broke and I burst into tears. The man on the other line answered with a calm voice. “We’ll be there soon. I need you to stand outside the pharmacy without being seen and wave your arms when you see police cars as it is very dark out there. Can you do it?” “O…okay…”I whispered and hung up. For a few seconds, I stood there, trembling. Then a scream pierced the air. It gave me all the courage I needed. Mustering all my courage, I sprinted towards the pharmacy. I peered around the wall and was not very surprised to see Mr Muthu on the ground writhing in pain, a pool of blood around his leg.

I inhaled sharply and tried not to puke. Suddenly the wails of sirens were heard. Policemen came out of the cars to surround the robbers. They were apprehended and brought to the police station.

In the end, I found out that my brother actually wanted the money for our mother to go for the treatment. Fortunately, a rich Singaporean donated a large sum of money to us. Our mother was healthy once again after a few months.

Today, Zong Rui shared with us his story plot. It was about two robbers robbing a provision shop uncle and him saving the day. Yes. He tackling two armed robbers? Totally unrealistic. We had our MCCA today. We recapped the moves we learned last week and learned some new moves. The new moves were a little difficult and I took quite a while to "master" it. In the end, I did'nt really do it properly. I also had my CCA today and I only reached home at 6.00. So it was rush, rush, rush to finish homework for me. Of course, I did it the best I could =D. Luckily, Ms Chia did'nt give us much homework accept for the bloging. Thanks! That's all! Bye!

Today, Miss Chia told us how write a POWERFUL narrative story. A narrative story captures a reader's attention and makes them want to know what will happen next, so they will read on and get more and more interested. Miss Chia also shared with us some tips about writing a good story. It was'nt a very good day today as I had quite a bit of homework(I'm not complaining!) and I only finished it at 9.00p.m. However, the happy look on my parents face when they heard me tell them my spelling score made up for all that Homework! Oh! I almost forgot! We had our spelling today too. This time, when I studied for it, I remembered to memorize the words so I got really good marks for my spelling!:) Got to go! Bye!

Today, we were given two stories to read and comment on by Ms Chia. I could say I was quite disgusted by the first story as there was romance in it. Blech! However, the second story was more interesting as there was more action and the paragraphs were evenly porpotioned. The author of the romance story is Chen Zong Rui and the other other author is Chester Koh. I had my Chinese Suplementary today, although we did'nt do much, just some worksheets. I had a hard time finishing my homework and even now , I have not finish my all my homework...anyway, lucky me because I get to hand in my homework tomorrow!>.< Anyway, I got to go. Bye!

Today, my SS teacher, Mrs Goh showed us a clip about the WWII. It was a little frightening as we got to see the japanese "at work", torturing and killing innocent people. The most frightening scene was the one with the japanese killing all the people in Nanking.

I also had my MCCA today, Hip Hop. I...would'nt say I liked it very much. The moves were difficult and I was tired after a day in class, so I did'nt do it properly. Maybe I would do it better next week after getting used to the dance!

I had a busy day today. At the start of the day, I had a spelling test, and my score was'nt exactly perfect because I had forgotten to memorize the words. However, Ernest scored full marks and Ms Chia asked him to share his method of learning with the whole class. However I think that his method is very troublesome and I prefer my own method. I think that I will probably score higher marks the next time round. That's all!Bye!
